Allah (SWT) says in Surath Al Anaam [Chapter of the Cattle]: " When there comes to them a sign (from Allah), They say: 'We shall not believe until we receive one (exactly) like those received by Allah´s messengers.' Allah knoweth best where (and how) to carry out His mission. Soon will the wicked be overtaken by humiliation before Allah, and a severe punishment, for all their plots." (124)
If you notice in this verse, Allah says, "Allah knoweth best where (and how) to carry out His mission" and in the light of It I will return to my question in class this past Saturday: Why did Allah (SWT) choose the Arabs to host the message of Islam? What was in the Arab culture, character, psychology etc. that provided fertile ground for the message of Islam?

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was like a tree in the desert. The characteristics of the Arabs are very similar to a tree and Islam was able to be cultivated.
-They had an unrelenting amount of hospitality. They would give all that they had to their guests. It was considered very dishonorable not to honor and welcome ones guest. This is very similar to a tree. It is very generous with its shade and fruit. -Whenever they gave their words, they stuck with it till the death, literally. That can be associated with a tree which roots are deeply intertwined into the earth and takes much effort to uproot a tree.
There are many more commonalities that are similar.

hmmm...I think culturally there was a awe about poetry and poets having the status to cause war and to bring peace. Poets were very influential, so when the Qur'an was revealed having the language the verse, the prose, the eloquence surpassed anything any poet could write so people started to pay attention

In order to harvest a great crop, the farmer must select the best soil for the produce he wishes to grow. In similarity the Arabs illustrated a lot of characteristics that provided fertile ground for the message of Islam. They already believed in Allah, they showed warmth to others; they kept their word and promises; they had sense of honor and repudiation of injustice; they had strength of character and determination; they were patient ands lived a simple Bedouin life.

the arabs were loyal to their leaders. I remember that Amr ibn Luhayy Al-Khuza'ee's words were taken as a law in the pre-Islamic era. Sa'd bin Mu'adh follower's loved him dearly, and the entire tribe converted to Islam because Sa'd commanded them to do so. Also, the sahabah used their loyalty and love for the Prophet.

The Arabs had lots of good characteristics which made one feel welcome. They were very loyal at what they do and say. They were very genera’s at what they do, example of the distribution of food and water to the pilgrims. They were honest and kept their word, even if they were to die for it. Hospitality was important to them and they exceeded to the best with it. The Arabs were good at what they do and did it with greatness passion.
